And I bet you fit right in.
You know what stinks about Joe jobs like the Cinema? The fact that people identify you as your job title.
I teach for a living, so people say I am a teacher. My wife's brother helps heal people for a living, so people say he is a doctor. Back in the states you fixed computers for a living, so people said you were the Computer Technician And that's just fine, since those titles are generally viewed as worth some deal of respect. And the people in those professions generally chose their identities.
But when you work at a cinema/grocery store/McDonald's/etc., you are given the same treatment. You sell movie tickets and popcorn for a living, so people say you are a cinema clerk.
(insert Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader "Noooo!!!")
You are, in fact, many things but a cinema clerk, but nobody knows or even cares (especially the managers and customers at your job). You just do it for a paycheck, but you are not a cinema clerk.
i only had one drunk guy ask, "why are you walking around writing things down?".... so i feel that is a pretty good indication of how well i fit in...
Steveo, is that YOU??
