storm

one helluva storm passed through last night... including but not limited to:
* bucket loads of water [common in NZ]
* hail [occasional in NZ]
* lightning [rare]

i didn't sleep well, yet somehow i found the energy to hack out the strawberry jam jar which had gotten consumed by the ever-growing glacier in my fridge.

street person of the week :: electric wheelchair

too dark for camera.

this man, old, rides electric wheelchair and wears bright orange vest [not unusual]. however, he wears "miner light" on forehead [unusual] and rarely looks forward.

smell :: unknown

street person of the week :: caped biker

this man, pictured fuzzily, is seen frequently biking with helmet [not unusual] and cape [unusual]. he always wears mud spattered white and gumboots. today, he was reading a HUGE 3 foot by 2 foot book in the library.

smell :: not good

street person of week :: harmonika

this man plays harmonica on the street for monies.

he wears business suits, covers "pan flute" tunes, and flamboyantly raises hand after each lick.

i don't think he knows anything about the history of the harmonica.

crazy bus man :: glasses case

on the bus, an unkempt man in army fatigue and a hat sat across from he.
he put his glasses in a red glasses case.

then his phone rang, and he pulled it out of an identical case.

i peered in his bag and saw at least 3 more identical red glasses cases.

cue freaky music.
