today a lady entered the bus with 2 kids, a stroller (which seemed too small for either of her verbal children) and 6 shopping bags. she'd get one kid on, go back for a stroller and the other kid would be running off the bus. it seems to me, with two decent sized kids, they could have each taken one bag and filed on in 15 seconds since none of the bags looked heavy...
thankfully after 90 seconds of loading, she hung up her cell phone and road 4 blocks to her destination...

sea of sirens
day : holiday inn :: 5 min walk from my office
night
i have never seen another person on this pedestrian bridge with me. a u of mn rent a cop was at one end, screaming her head off with people mocking her. a cop was at another, orderly filing people off the bridge. the woman next to me prayed, while i took pictures of the carnage.
it's technically still a bridge... just closer to the water...

at the base of a condo complex i often pretend i live it. my north dakota car, used to flat expanses, could drive up that steep incline.
a side street, filled with emergency vehicles and free water. the strangest part of the night was seeing so many lights and sirens. just when you thought the side streets were full, another cop towing a boat would arrive followed by two more ambulances.
